As part of our weekend-long reunion for HATCHers*, we are opening up this evening to "friends of HATCH: Extraordinary Humans" as a way to raise awareness, funds and share the impact. Who should join? Owner and CEO of a fast-growing boutique fitness company she founded in DC in 2013 called [solidcore]. In just 2.5 years, Anne has grown her company to 14 locations with more than 45,000 clients, including Michelle Obama.Â
Prior to [solidcore], Anne was the CEO of Back on My Feet (BoMF), a non-profit organization she founded in Philadelphia in 2007 that uses the power of running to change the way those experiencing homelessness see themselves so they can make real change in their lives.
By age seven, he lost his ability to walk. His muscular deterioration would continue and eventually affect his breathing. But that didn't stop him from enrolling a doctoral program in his late-twenties, requiring a ventilator twenty-four hours per day. He's now a globally recognized expert on inclusive and sustainable cities, participated in the drafting of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and launched the World Enabled Global Initiative. In 2009, Pineda was awarded the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) Paul G. Hearne Award.
Yarrow Kraner is a director and photographer at Virgin Produced, a creative alchemist, mentor, and the Founder of HATCH. Yarrow is an Aspen Institute Fellow, is featured in the 2015 book "Talent for Humanity" and his ideas and work have been recognized internationally. Yarrow has directed projects for Virgin Atlantic, Virgin America, Warner Brothers, Levi’s, TNT, De Leon Tequila, T-Mobile, DirectTV, KEEN Footwear, Columbia Records, Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, several Universities, tech start-ups, and more.
TENEIAÂ & BENÂ Teneia Sanders-Eichelberger & Ben EichelbergerÂ
A wife and husband duo who strive to raise awareness about racial/ethnic inequality & social inequality. Teneia's music shows the world that people can love each other deeply regardless of race, cultural origin, sexual identity, or gender. They believe that violence & hatred are products of ignorance & fear, & that being exposed to people of varying cultures & belief systems is critical to creating a more peaceful world.Â
PHILIP SHEPPARDÂ
Philip Sheppard is a composer, virtuoso cellist & a pioneer of the electric cello. He is a professor at The Royal Academy of Music & has composed for film, TV & theatre. He has produced soundtracks for the Olympics, Tour De France, the BBC & over 60 feature films. Philip writes & plays with UNKLE & has been a guest artist with musicians including Jeff Buckley, David Bowie, Jarvis Cocker, Jimmy Page & Pretty Lights.
